If you are missing a piece or pieces and you are unable to get it or borrow, you will be sitting out that game. If there is a squad ribbon, you need to wear that on your ponytail.
CAPTAINS
Captains are chosen for each squad based upon the try-out scores, and/or the coach's decision, and/or the girls with the most years Varsity experience.
PCS CHEER RULES
1. Academic-Each member must maintain eligibility as written in the handbook. Grades will be checked every week by the athletic dept. If a girl becomes ineligible, her grades will be checked again in 2 weeks. The cheerleader must come to every game in uniform and sit with the respective coach. Failure to maintain a C average after 2 grade checks will result in removal from the squad for the academic benefit of the student.
2. Physical Education- If any member is excused from PE class for medical reason, she must also be excused for practice. However, the girl must come to practice and watch and learn.
3. School Attendance-If you are able to attend school, you MUST be present at practice and attend any event. Conversely, if a member is unable to be at school due to illness she is not permitted to attend practice or any event.
4. Travel- The girls will ride to all the games together unless arranged with the coach ahead of time. The girls may ride home with a parent as long as the parent informs the coach! In order for a cheerleader to ride home from an away game with their parents or with another parent, a written note from their parent must be given to the coach prior to the game. You may only ride home with someone else if the coach has it in writing. Girls must be picked up promptly after practice and games!
PRACTICE/TIME/RULES
1. Regular practice will be M-F, except only on occasional Wed. from 3:35-4:30. The ladies are required to be on time and ready to work. Once basketball season starts, practice will be cut down on coach's preference.
2. No one may leave practice early for any reason except illness.
3. No practice may be held on school property unless a coach is present.
4. Cheerleaders will not mount or tumble unless the moderator is visibly present and has given permission. Failure to follow this rule will result in sideline game suspension. Continued disregard (more than once) may result in dismissal.
5. Absolutely no food or drink at practice. Water bottles are encouraged.
6. No emotional outbursts at practice.
***Please remember that our practice time as a team is limited. If you
are unable to attend practice the entire team suffers. If you miss a practice,
