Snowflakes

If you'd like to brighten up your cheerleader's lockers this month, we have a cute wintery decoration.

After a 3-day weekend, we had a cold, grey winter day to come back to school. It was nice to have something in our lockers to brighten our day.

This first thing we did was find a clipart picture of a snowflake. We faded it out then put our the names of the cheerleaders on top of that.

One of the moms had written a poem about snowflakes that we could print on another snowflake image.

We cut these out and then punched a hole on the top.

You can leave a border of white around the snowflake and they'll be easier to cut out.

Spread a thin layer of glue around the edges (you can use your finger to do this). (Keep a paper towel nearby)

Then sprinkle a fine, clear-colored glitter over the glue. Do this over a spread out newspaper to keep the glitter from getting all over.

Once your snowflake dries, cut 6 inches of cord to tie the snowflake onto the decoration.

The cord will be used as a hanger.

We tied the poem onto the other hanger.

For our coaches, we had a special 3-D snowflake for them.

We found bags with snowflakes on them to put the decorations in. We also printed bigger snowflakes to use as locker decorations.
