Scrapbooking (Part 2)

Everyone loved our first section on scrap booking so much that we asked our cheer mom if we could borrow another one of her many albums.
This talented lady puts together a really fabulous cheerleading photo album/scrap book every year for her daughter. Not only does she take pictures of her daughter and our squad, but also she takes pictures of practically everything else. Stuff we would have never thought of. What she ends up creating is a really neat record of everything that happened during the basketball season. All of the pictures in this section are from just one of her scrapbooks. I'm hoping this can inspire all of you into making a truly memorable record of your year cheering.

Before our first home game, our cheer mom had an opportunity to take pictures of each girl on the squad. It was nice that she could get several posed shots of each of us before we started cheering.

Our first home basketball game is usually Home Coming. Our cheer mom came early that night and took a lot of pictures of all the pre game activities.

Even our coach could not hide from the camera and was caught acting silly.

One of the neat things our cheer mom does is take pictures of all our spirit signs and banners. She always has doubles printed. She cuts up the duplicates and uses them to decorate her scrapbook pages.

Here's an example of some of the posters she takes pictures of. She made an arrangement of our spirit signs, pom pons, and banner and then took a few pictures of them. When she cut these up she ended up with a bunch of decorative images.

Not only does she include pictures of our great plays...

...but she includes pictures of some of our "not so great plays".

She always tries to take pictures of the team as they come out of the locker room. What made this one special is she included a shot of a player who was sitting out with an injury

We have a lot of school spirit wear. Every time a new shirt is sold our cheer mom takes a pictures of it to include in our scrapbook. Most of these are created by students or teachers and she always makes sure to include a note about this.

She takes dozens of pictures of each of our stunt groups. Then she puts all the pictures together to create a step by step version of each stunts.

She begins each new section of game photos with the bulletin from that game.

In each gym we visit, our cheer mom always finds several interesting things to take pictures of.

Our coach always has an inspirational verse that he uses with each years team. We thought it was neat that our cheer mom included this in her scrapbook.

I thought this was a great idea. Our cheer mom cuts apart some of her game photos and used pieces of each to decorate her album. We always have dozens of pictures where we aren't smiling or look odd. This is a great way to recycle those pictures.

On this page she had 3 pictures of our team walking onto the court, shaking hands after the game and then walking off the court.

Our cheer mom grouped together pictures of each boy as they made a basket. She actually had pictures of all the players (bench included) scoring.

One evening we had an extra long wait before our bus arrived to take us to the game. Our cheer mom got out her camera and started taking pictures. These pictures were a nice change from all our game photos.
