![]() Scrapbooking (Part 2) ![]() Everyone loved our first section on scrap booking so much that we asked our cheer mom if we could borrow another one of her many albums. This talented lady puts together a really fabulous cheerleading photo album/scrap book every year for her daughter. Not only does she take pictures of her daughter and our squad, but also she takes pictures of practically everything else. Stuff we would have never thought of. What she ends up creating is a really neat record of everything that happened during the basketball season. All of the pictures in this section are from just one of her scrapbooks. I'm hoping this can inspire all of you into making a truly memorable record of your year cheering. She took dozens of pictures of each of our floor cheers. Then she put all the pictures together as a step by step version of each cheer. We had a cheer clinic for the grade school kids before one of our games. Then they came to the game and sat and cheered with us. They even got to be in one of our floor cheers. The parents loved this and so did we. We got to cheer with several of our little sisters. At our school the cheerleaders are responsible for each game's breakaway. We spend a lot of time making these. Our coach assigns two different girls to create each one. Almost everyone turns up early to help and we have a lot of fun doing this. These pregame pictures are some of our favorites. They show how much fun we are having. Everyone loves all of our break-a-ways. We get a lot of great feedback from the parents and players. Not only does our cheer mom takes pictures of these but most of the partent do also. This was a J.V. game that we almost lost. The last minute had a lot of time outs. Our varsity boys came out of the locker room to watch. They cheered louder than we did and it meant a lot to the J.V. team. We were thrilled that our cheer mom took pictures of this special moment. Another way our cheer mom uses posters is to announce a new section in her scrapbook. This was the poster we had on the door of our hospitality room. This was a picture of the breakaway we used on senior night. Our cheer mom used it to start the scrapbook section devoted to our seniors. Every senior had their own special poster hanging the hallway. Our mom included pictures of each one of those. Our school has a lot of different half time activities. We usually miss seeing these because we are practicing or doing something for our coach. We can always count on our cheer mom to get pictures of everything for us. This set of pictures is from our 50/50 shootout contest. The boy in the contest is an alumni who played basketball at P.C.S. and came back to watch his little brother who is on the varsity. Another half time activity involves the grade school boy's basketball team. Almost all the kids involved have a brother who plays basketball or sister who cheers. Not only did our cheer mom get pictures of their scrimmage, but took pictures of each brother with their older sibling. Fan shots are always fun to look at. I think our cheer mom actually took pictures of every one who came to our games this year. If she sees you she will take your picture. She always tries to get group shots of each cheerleader with their friends. Whenever we play another Christian school we always take time before each game to pray together. This is really a special time that sets the tone for the game. This was the back cover of a tournament program. We thought it was neat because it had our basketball team on it. Our cheer mom saved the sports section from all of our school papers and included them in the scrapbook. She finished her book with the program from our winter sports banquet.
