Learn how to save money by turning a simple cheer T-shirt into a unique, fitted shirt. Warning: Everytime you cut into a T-shirt, it takes away some of its lifespan. If the edges of your shirt are not hemmed, reinforced or serged, they will have a tendency to eventually pull apart. If you are putting in eyelets, you need to use heavy weight interfacing or your eyelets might pull out and leave a hole in your shirt. We think you will be very happy with the results of your T-shirt surgery, and will be able to wear your shirts for a long time. T-shirt surgery gets easier with experience, so you might want to do a few tests shirts before you start on your camp clothing. You can get cheap shirts at WalMart, garage sales, Goodwill, etc... that you can practice on. If you look up "DIY shirt" on Ebay, you can find some great ideas for T-shirt surgery. make your shirts go from boring to exciting. To buy your shirts sleeveless, you'd have to spend a lot more on each shirt.

A quick and easy way to make your shorts cute and original is to add iron-on letters. You can buy separate letters or pre-spaced
letters and iron them onto your shorts at home.
