I have a new line of T-shirts at nerdyduckling.com! There are a lot of fun t-shirts and designs are being added all the time. These shirts are still, just $9.99!

One thing that the PCS crowd always likes is when we throw out candy. Your candy should go with a chant or slogan. It will really get the crowd excited and raise school spirit. Lip shaped candy goes great with several slogans that your crowd will love, such as: "Chargers, Chargers, Eat 'em up, Eat 'em up!"

We have mini Halloween cards to give to all of your friends. These can go on cardstock or magnet sheets and can be put up inside of lockers. These use the same instructions as the valentine cards.

One of the best ways to improve your floor cheers is to combine your JV and Varsity squads. When you have a huge group of girls on the floor it makes your cheer much better. You can yell louder, add difficulty, and put up more stunts. This is an example of a cheer that we did with both of our squads.

If your squad has two stunt groups that can do Liberty or higher, this will be very easy to put together. The rotating stunt groups make the crowd pay attention.

This stunt goes up fast and looks impressive, which makes it great for 30 second time outs. You need to have a very strong main base and an experienced flyer.

The show-and-go to blow-out is an easy way to combine two intermediate stunts; the liberty and basket toss.

If you are looking for something new to do during 30 second time outs, you should try out this new twist on a classic stunt. Your squad and the crowd will love it!

A quick and easy way to make your shorts cute and original is to add iron-on letters. You can buy separate letters or pre-spaced letters and iron them onto your shorts at home.

It's really easy to make matching flip flop sandals for your squad. These are great to wear when you don't want to get your cheer shoes dirty. They are perfect for cheer camp (when you're not cheering), and look sharp if you use your school colors.
(Click the picture to see the tutorial)

If you have shirts left over from camp, this is a fun way to turn them into cute tops. Exposed serging is a great way to add color to your shirts and make them fit nicer.

T-shirt Design of the Moment!
This current design is a brand new one that is great for camp. It says on the front "We went to camp last summer, and all we got was this t-shirt..." and the back says "...and a Great Big Trophy!" If you took home a camp champ trophy last summer or even a most improved trophy, this shirt will be great. Encourage your squad to work hard for another trophy!

Is your squad tired of spending hundreds of dollars every summer on camp clothing that looks like everybody else's? We know how you can save lots of money and be the only squad at camp with your shirts. We are offering a special line of T-shirts for just $9.99. that will include all of our newest designs. Learn how to save money by turning a simple cheer T-shirt into a unique, fitted shirt.

We have tryout tips, which are very useful. Whether you're trying out for the first time, or a returning cheerleader, you should find some useful information and links in there. We have sample tryout scoresheets, which are very useful to see.

Going to state is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Cheering for our boys at the Civic Center was so much more fun than we would have thought. This year was great, and we're proud of how the team did.

PCS has wonderful fans, but this year we had a fan who really stood out. David took school spirit to a new level with his fun chants. Having a fan like this makes it so much more fun to cheer, and it really helped our boys basketball team. We really want to thank David for being a great leader for the Charger fans.
(click the picture to see more)

Our fans are always great, but this year they were unbelievable. We had a large group of students that traveled to every game and many of those were over an hour away. Even though there are less than 300 students in our high school it always sounded like we had 1000 fans at our games.
(click the picture to see more)

One of the highlights of this year was our snowman, "Frosty". For some odd reason Garrett Mooberry started bringing this large plastic snowman to our games. Surprisingly, Frosty was great for school spirit. Sometimes the things that you don't expect to encourage the fans really make a difference.

At our school we take turns decorating the lockers. When it was my turn, I had to decorate for a big tournament. I did not want to do the usual "cutesy" stuff, but instead wanted something that was more masculine. These turned out great and the guys loved them. I then made similar decorations for the girls, but with cheerleading silhouettes.

We recently had our senior night for the class of 2004. We recognized our boys basketball, swimming, and cheerleading teams. It was a really memorable night thanks to a bunch of parents, friends, our high school principal and our athletic director. We have tons of pictures for you and a lot of great ideas you can use for your senior night.
(click the picture to see more)

Every year for senior night, we put posters up for each senior athlete in front of the gym. Usually most schools just use a basketball and a megaphone. We wanted to do something different. We decided to make posters that looked like the uniforms. They looked amazing when we were finished!

Everyone loves our posters that we make for senior night. This year we added a new design for our team manager.
(click the picture to see more)

We took a lot of pictures of our seniors on senior night. Many of our parents have asked to see them. We thought it might be nice to put all of them on our web site for the family and friends of our seniors to see. We will continue to add new photos as we get copies of every one's pictures. There are a lot of pictures, so it might take a while to load!
(click the picture to see more)

If your posters have a common theme, people will notice them more. I really liked the idea of road sign themed posters. Here are some ideas I made for you that are road sign inspired. These posters are some of my favorites, and I hope your squad can use them!

A lot of people love our candy themed posters. This is a new poster based on the JuJuBes candy. I made matching mini posters to put on the guys lockers. For candy, we put large packages of "JuJuBes" in each player's locker.

Even though PCS didn't compete this winter I still went to a couple cheerleading competitions. There were some very talented high school squads, and we got some great pictures.
(Click the picture to see more)

It was really fun seeing the Varsity portion of the competitions, but the Jr. High part was the most impressive. These young girls were throwing basket tosses, libs, full downs, and doing some awesome tumbling. It's great to see the talent these future Varsity cheerleaders have.

I wanted to put up some of our cheer pictures from December. We have several pictures of everyone with Mrs. Taylor. This month was really hard for our squad. Our coach resigned and most of the girls were very upset.

At our school we always try to celebrate all of our players accomplishments. Here is what we did when one of the guys broke an 11 year old assist record.
(click the picture to see more)

We had a lot of great decorations in the fall of 2003. We have some examples for many different sports, but most could be used for anything.
(click the picture to see more)

Our season started with the Peoria Heights Tournament. We were excited to cheer for the 1st place team. Our floor cheers were great, the crowd loved our stunting, and everything went wonderful!
(click the picture to see more)

If you want to improve your jumps then you need to practice them every day. Practicing our jumps always helps us increase our height on jumps. It also helps us improve our timing. We always get a lot of great comments about how high and together our jumps are.
(click the picture to see more)

We have such a large amount of traffic to the site, that we thought it might be fun to have a message board / forum. We got one set up, and it's really neat. Go visit and start talking about cheerleading!
(click the picture to see more)

We're in the middle of working on a set of clipart for cheer dollz. We know that cheerleading clipart is hard to find, so we're making a way to customise cheer dollz in your squad's uniform style and colors. We have a test page up, and we'd like you to try it out. We have a feed back form on the page, so please let us know what you think.

This is my newest series of poster ideas. All of the designs are based on candy wrappers. The great thing about these posters is you can make mini versions of each to use as locker decorations and then buy the actual candy to go with them. I am including step-by-step instructions for my first two posters and will be adding many more designs this year. Check back every week to see what has been added.

My newest series of posters is based on road signs. I have come up with a lot of fun, unique designs that follow this theme. I am including step-by-step instructions for my first two posters. I will be adding many more designs this year. Check back every week to see what has been added.

I would like to thank "American Cheerleader magazine " for the nice article they wrote about my web site and clothing designs. I love cheerleading and everything about it. Working on this site and my designs is never a chore, but always rewarding. I love getting the e-mails from everybody telling me how much the page has helped them. It's great to be able to make a website that can actually help people learn how to do something.
(Click the picture to see the actual article, opens in new window)

Everyone loved our first section on scrap booking so much that we asked our cheer mom if we could borrow another one of her many albums.
(click the picture to see more)

We are always looking for new and creative ideas for our cheer posters. This time we used "Adobe Photoshop 7" and came up with a neat "airbrush" design that can be modified to fit any of your school colors. We used professional materials to create ours, but this can be easily adapted and made at home.
(click the picture to see more)

We finally got our T-shirt store up and running! We have some great designs so far, and many more on the way. Keep checking back, we'll be adding frequently.
(click the picture to see more)

I have had a ton of requests from girls who wanted to see pictures of the camp wear I designed and printed for several area squads/cheerleaders this summer. Here are just a few of my favorite designs, including a couple that were created just for guys.
(click the picture to see more)

This year our Varsity coach reached his 300th win. This was a very important occasion, and the whole school wanted to help celebrate. Coach Fox is an amazing guy. He's been at PCS for 17 years. Every freshman and senior has him for Bible class. He really helps us to grow as Christian teenagers.
(click the picture to see more)

Do you take a lot of pictures? In case you can't tell from my web site, we do. We take a bunch. Most are stuck in photo albums, in no special order or theme. This year we have been inspired to try something different, more creative. I'm hoping this can inspire all of you into making a truly memorable record of your year cheering.
